Santa Clara County Federal Credit Union is passionately committed to maintaining an extensive community outreach program through our volunteer initiative called County Federal Cares. Our County Federal Cares team is made up of County Federal employees as well as their families and friends who dedicate time and resources to support a variety of local non-profit organization and participating in volunteer events.

Enrich – by providing support and resources to create a better living environment for Santa Clara County families
Enhance – by listening and providing meaningful solutions to our community’s needs
County Federal Sponsored Events
For the past several years, County Federal has partnered with The Family Giving Tree to collect backpacks filled with school supplies for low-income, at-risk children in Santa Clara County.
This year we awarded six one-year educational scholarships to graduating high school seniors and post-secondary students enrolled in an accredited university or community/technical college full and part-time. Awards ranged from $500 for community/technical colleges to $1,500 for four-year colleges.
SCCOE Teacher Recognition Night
Each year, the Santa Clara County Office of Education recognizes exceptional teachers from every school district for their dedication to Santa Clara County Schools. An awards ceremony is held in September for these chosen teachers. County Federal has co-sponsored this event for over twenty years. Our sponsorship of this event over the years is one small way of expressing our thanks and appreciation to one of the County’s most important resources, its teachers. The contributions of a teacher touch the lives of so many people, both during and after their K-12 school years. It is in the spirit of these enduring contributions that we honor this elite group of outstanding teachers.
Teddy Bears On Patrol
County Federal’s Teddy Bears on Patrol Program has collected and distributed teddy bears to local law enforcement agencies, school districts, and organizations, such as Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. These groups give the stuffed animals to children to console them in traumatic situations. Each year, we collect and donate over 2,800 stuffed animals.
Annual Kids’ Holiday Party
Every holiday season, County Federal hosts the Annual Kids’ Holiday Party! All members and M3 Money Club Account members are invited to see Santa and Mrs. Claus at our Corporate Center. Take a picture with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, take part in some arts and crafts, and take a ride on the holiday train. No reservations needed, just come out and join the fun!
Donation Requests & Charitable Giving
Santa Clara County Federal Credit Union (“County Federal”) has been part of the community for over 65 years. We are committed to making the community better by being a generous supporter of our local communities, where our members live and work, and our involvement with its local organizations. Because the requests are numerous, and we utilize budgeted financial resources, we have implemented guidelines in order to assist as many organizations as possible.
If you are interested in seeking a donation, please review the following guidelines before submitting your request. County Federal reserves the right to consider each donation request on a case-by-case basis.
Monetary Donations and Sponsorships Guidelines
County Federal will only consider monetary donation and sponsorship requests from non-profit/community-based organizations. County Federal will give priority consideration to organizations that foster growth and development within the communities we support (Santa Clara County).
A contribution is typically used to raise funds for the benefit of at least one of the following purposes:
- Community Service
- Youth Activities
- Special Community Projects
- Other Criteria
County Federal will make every effort to process your request in a timely manner. We will contact all organizations regardless of approval or denial of your request. A decision to deny a request does not imply that the applicant’s program is not needed or worthy, but simply that it does not fall within our Charitable Giving/Sponsorship guidelines, priorities, or that funds are not available.
If more information about a specific organization is needed, a representative of County Federal will contact the organization.
