Santa Clara County Federal Credit Union is passionately committed to maintaining an extensive community outreach program through our volunteer initiative called County Federal Cares. Our County Federal Cares team is made up of County Federal employees as well as their families and friends who dedicate time and resources to support a variety of local non-profit organizations and participating in volunteer events.

County Federal, A Community Development Financial Institution
Santa Clara County Federal Credit Union is certified as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
CDFIs are banks and credit unions with a history of creating opportunities and access to financial services while providing capital in low-income, disadvantaged communities. Obtaining CDFI certification is the latest step in County Federal’s ongoing commitment to meet the needs of underserved communities.

Back-to-School Drive
For the past several years, County Federal has partnered with The Family Giving Tree to collect backpacks filled with school supplies for low-income, at-risk children in Santa Clara County.

Educational Scholarships
Every year, we award one-year educational scholarships to graduating high school seniors and post-secondary students enrolled in an accredited university or community/technical college full and part-time. Awards range from $500 to $1,500.
Teddy Bears on Patrol
For over 20 years, County Federal has collected and distributed thousands of Teddy Bears during the holiday season for local law enforcement agencies, school districts, hospitals, and charitable organizations. The purpose of the Teddy Bears is simple. To provide comfort and friendship to a child in need.
SCCOE Teacher Recognition Night
The Santa Clara County Office of Education recognizes exceptional teachers from each school district in the country for their dedication to Santa Clara county schools. An awards ceremony is held for these chosen teachers. County Federal has co-sponsored this event for over 20 years. It is in the spirit of these enduring contributions that we honor this elite group of outstanding teachers.
